The world’s first double beds in business class will take the passenger experience “to a new level” on flights from London to Doha, an airline has claimed.
Qatar Airways customers in adjoining seats can create their own double bed by removing privacy panels on a daily Boeing 777 service from London Heathrow.
The carrier’s senior vice president for Europe Jonathan Harding described the Qsuite cabins as a “first class product in business class”.
Up to four passengers travelling together are also able to transform their seats to form a private area, so families, friends or colleagues can dine, socialise and work in a group.
Mr Harding said Qsuite offers an “unprecedented level of luxury” with “enormous flexibility”.
He told the Press Association: “It’s a revolutionary, brand new, game-changing product which we are going to roll out across our business class fleet, raising the business class experience to a new level.

“We have the first double bed in the sky so people travelling together are able to avail themselves of that.
“If you’re travelling by yourself you get privacy, particularly in one of our window seats, but our quads can be configured in a way that is very flexible and comfortable.”
Aviation analyst Alex Macheras said Qsuite is “the best business class in the skies today” and praised its “very comfortable bed, beautiful on-board decor and furnishings”. He added: “I’d fly Qsuite over heaps of other first class products in the industry.”
Qsuite has been launched on flights from Heathrow and will be rolled out next to Paris and New York.
