Two pipe bomb-type devices have exploded outside a house in Co Antrim.
They detonated at around 2.20am on Tuesday while a third failed to explode, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said.
Residents were evacuated from nearby homes during the incident at Mill Street in Lisburn.
Army Technical Officers examined and made safe the unexploded third device.
Police said there were no injuries but the blasts damaged the front of a house and a car parked outside.
Evacuated residents have taken shelter in the city’s Island Centre.
Chief Inspector David Nixon said: “Thankfully no one was injured, however the blasts caused damage to the front of the house and it appears as though a car parked outside the property was also tampered with and damaged.”
A cordon remains in place around Mill Street and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
