Adam was just 26 when his vision of pensions being sold by phone, post or online received the backing of financial services giants Peter Hargreaves and Stephen Lansdown.

Pensions Direct grew and was absorbed by the HL group which is now valued at more than £4bn.

Meanwhile, Adam went from one of the youngest managing directors in the country, to retiring at 36 and according to the Sunday Times Rich List his current wealth is now estimated at £136m.

Adam now helps other companies achieve their goals, through mentoring and financial backing.

Horatio Investments has so far invested more than £6million in around 20 UK companies, with investment ranging from £20,000 to £1.2million.

Adam has up to £100million to invest in new businesses and start-ups and is one of the biggest Angel Investors in the country.
