Adam Rickitt

Sometime actor, sometime singer, sometime presenter…fulltime me!

Adam Rickitt first shot to fame back in 1997 when he appeared on the famous cobbles of “Coronation Street”. Playing the role of Nick Tilsley, Adam went on to become one of the most high profile characters in the show’s history, with compelling storylines of teenage romance, murder and general chaos.

During his 18 month stint on the show Adam went on to win numerous awards including: “TV Hits” – best actor, “Sky Magazine” – celebrity you most want to see naked, Attitude magazine – most fanciable male

Adam left the show in 1999 to pursue a pop career, releasing his Gold selling album “Good Times”, including the smash hit song “I breathe again”, with which he toured the world.

Performing in front of 100’s of 1000’s of fans around the world, Adam went on to win awards such as “Smash Hits” solo artist of the year and was the #1 track in the dance charts on the night of the Millenium.

After leaving the music industry Adam went on to a mixture of high profile roles in the UK, on both stage and screen, including the lead role of “Mark Cohen” in the record breaking run of the musical “Rent” in the West-End, “Judge John Deed” and even reprising his role in Coronation Street.

From 2007 until 2012 Adam moved to New Zealand to appear as the character “Kieran Mitchell” in Australasia’s most high profile soap “Shortland Street”. He then returned to the UK, to undertake a series of ongoing journalism and presenting roles.

In 2013 Adam agreed to take part in the smash hit TV show “The Big Reunion” as part of the new Supergroup “5th Story”. Alongside his fellow band mates he is touring the country and off to distant shores again.

Away from the Spotlight Adam is a keen advocate of the Third Sector. He is Chief Executive of “The Caerus Partnership” created to help reduce fear and stigma of the issue of Mental Health in the workplace and the wider community.
