Alaric Hammond's debut exhibition for Steve Lazarides' The Outsiders Gallery quickly established his talents, originally honed from within London's influential INSECT collective, to the global audience.
Alaric has since continued to develop a diverse practice of drawing, painting and collage centred around his corruption of the traditional techniques of fine art printmaking. The artist employs a variety of unique acid bath techniques to corrode the metal plates bearing his work in assemblages dramatising the effects of environmental decay and erosion from the natural passage of time and at the hand of man in the form of urban pollution, neglect and vandalism.
