Alex Morrison

Journalist

Alex Morrison is news editor of the Dorking Advertiser and Leatherhead Advertiser, local papers in Surrey, England, and was formerly chief reporter for the Crawley News. He studied history and politics at Exeter University then completed an NCTJ journalism course at Camborne College, Cornwall, in 2007.

He is also a freelance journalist and has written for publications including the Guardian, New Statesman, Independent, London Evening Standard and openDemocracy. He volunteers as press officer for the Diego Garcia and Chagos Islands Council, which represents the displaced people of the Chagos Islands in the UK, and is a Local Media Coordinator for WaterAid.
