Amanda Thomson

Champagne importer, TV and radio broadcaster and voiceover artist

Amanda Thomson is a highly experienced TV and radio broadcaster, producer and voice over artist. While living in Paris, she completed her wine and management diploma at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris and has set up a wine sales company, working with artisan French champagne producers, collaborating with modern artists on the packaging.

Her distinctive husky voice is regularly used for television documentaries and Amanda is known for her warm, witty yet informative presenting style.

With some fifteen years in the industry, she launched her television career presenting BBC2's Network East, a live 40 minute arts programme. Amanda worked as a reporter/presenter for the BBC, where she was trained as a video-journalist. She has interviewed scores of high profile names - everyone from Tom Cruise to David Cameron and Johnny Depp to Salman Rushdie.

Having been interested in wine and specifically champagne for many years, Amanda re-trained for a year under one of France's most celebrated wine teachers. She feels she has found her spiritual home with a new obsession for Zero Dosage (no added sugar) champagne which has become her speciality.
