Andrei oversees engineering for the Android Team in London, encompassing core Android Framework components, apps like Chrome, Play Movies or Google Docs as well as broad mobile initiatives like Android for Work. He joined Google London 8 years ago and his first contributions went into the Cupcake and Donut Android releases. He also did a stint with the Chrome team, working on Web standards like Geolocation and Indexed Database. Prior to Google, Andrei was a Research Engineer at Nokia in Helsinki. Andrei holds a Bachelor in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki.
