Annie Vasconcelos

Mummy, Performing Arts Tutor, Business Owner

Hello! My name is Ann-Louise Vasconcelos or ‘Annie’ as my friends and colleagues have named me due to her petite size and red hair! I have trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern Theatre Dance and Jazz since the age of three!! I joined a Youth Theatre when I was younger, which led to a passion for acting as well as dancing. I have performed in many plays including ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’, ‘Dangerous Liasons’ and ‘Find me’.

I have had many credits including ‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’, ‘Bugsy Malone’ and ‘Sleeping Beauty’ for the English Youth Ballet as well as appearing in Channel 5’s ‘Urban Gothic’. I have danced in the Princess of Wales Charity Gala’s at the London Palladium and appeared at Sadler’s Wells as well as performing in a UK tour with dance company ‘Boundaries’.

I decided to take my dance skills further and completed my BA (Hons) Dance at Bretton Hall – Leeds University and graduated with a 2:1 average. During my degree I had great success with my choreographies ‘Into the Labyrinth’ and ‘Malkovich’ further developing my love and flair for choreographing.

I have always had a love of music and play many instruments including piano, cello, piano and I dabble on the saxophone. I teach for an amazing choir that has taken me to places I never thought I would go.

I run a Theatre Academy teaching performing arts to people of all ages with my amazing friend with whom I wouldn't be without.

I married my best friend and we have the most gorgeous little boy on the planet.

I'm a self confessed geek!
