Fulbright Scholar in US national security policymaking and Deputy Editor of the RUSI Journal

Ashlee Godwin is a Fulbright Scholar in US national security policymaking with an interest in a wide range of defence and IR issues, including US-UK relations. She is currently the Deputy Editor of the RUSI Journal, the flagship publication of the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI), a London-based defence think-tank. She recently participated in a RUSI research trip to Sierra Leone, investigating post-conflict peace-building, and also volunteers for Centenary News, a website dedicated to events commemorating the First World War.

Forthcoming publications include an co-authored article on Security-Sector Reform in Sierra Leone (RUSI Journal) and a chapter on US-UK relations for an edited volume on the Obama Administration’s first term, in conjunction with an American Politics Group conference at the British Library held earlier this year.
