Carli Pirie

Alzheimer's awareness advocate

Mum-of-one Carli Pirie has watched her Nan and mum deteriorate with a rare form of Alzheimer’s disease that affects people in their 40s and 50s. Now Carli has a 50/50 chance of also having the rare gene mutation which means she would also develop the disease if she had it. She is determined to make a difference for others by running the London Marathon 2019 for the Dementia Revolution. She also takes part in research to help scientists discover new methods of diagnosis and potential treatments for people living with Alzheimer’s disease.
