Presenter of CNN International’s 'Alpine Edge' sponsored by Longines

Christina Macfarlane is the host of CNN International’s monthly winter sports show ‘Alpine Edge’, sponsored by Longines.

Since joining the network in 2012, Macfarlane has covered a wide variety of sports for CNN international, including skiing, rugby sevens, tennis, football, and golf.

CNN’s lead correspondent at Wimbledon 2013, she has reported on notable events in the sports world such as Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and Manchester United’s victory parade in 2013, as well as football legend Jose Mourinho’s return to Chelsea. Macfarlane has also presented the Formula 1 edition of ‘The Art of Movement’ and CNN’s Roland Garros theme week. In 2013-2014 Macfarlane also presented CNN International’s ‘Rugby Sevens Worldwide’ programme.

Macfarlane has reported on Champions League; Euro 2012; the Turkish World Golf Finals; London 2012 Olympics and more recently, the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Before joining CNN, Macfarlane worked in live broadcast on the European, PGA and Asian Golf Tours, covering events in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Malaysia. In 2009, she also reported on the Ashes cricket series for the England Cricket Board.
