Christopher Simon Sykes is well-known as a photographer of country houses and gardens, working for magazines such as WORLD OF INTERIORS, ENGLISH AND AMERICAN VOGUE, VANITY FAIR, AND HOUSE AND GARDEN, as well as having published over fifteen books on this subject, such as THE GREAT HOUSES OF ENGLAND AND WALES, ENGLISH COUNTRY, AT HOME WITH BOOKS and THE GARDENS OF BUCKINGHAM PALACE. he has also toured as a photographer with the Rolling Stones and acted as ghost writer for Eric Clapton on CLAPTON: THE AUTOBIGORAPHY. He has just published the first volume of a new two-part biography of David Hockney, authorised, though not commissioned, by the artist, who has given over 20 hours of interviews as well as access to all his friends and family.
