Senior Communications Officer for Action Against Hunger

Claire Blackburn is the UK-based Communications Officer for international humanitarian organisation Action Against Hunger which assists over 7 million people around the world every year, providing communities with sustainable access to food and water and life-saving treatment for malnourished children. Claire reports on Action Against Hunger’s impact and current events around the world, works with journalists and manages the NGO’s social media channels. She trained in journalism at the University of Sheffield before moving into the charity sector. She was a finalist in the Guardian’s International Development Journalism Competition in 2012.
