Colm started his career with KPMG and Andersen Consulting, where he worked on the re-branding to Accenture. He was asked to join Purple Radio, at its birth, as Communications Manager and went on to oversee the brands growth becoming the "world's fastest growing radio station" and the launch of a series of music festivals under the Purple In The Park and Fierce Festival brands. He was one of the founder members of YouthSpeak, a campaign group setup to push for an equal age of consent, and famous for projecting a pink "16" on the House of Commons.

Colm went on to lead communications and consultation work on some of the government’s most controversial projects, from Modernising Medical Careers to the regeneration of Crystal Palace Park. Colm was also involved in the running of London pride events from 1999-2011 ultimately becoming Vice-Chair of the charity Pride London.

He now provides communications, public and political affairs and engagement advice to a variety of political, third-sector and private clients. He is currently a Trustee of Food Chain who provide food and nutritional support to people living with HIV in London.
