Dan Griffin

London-based, Irish journalist, currently blogging on behalf of Self Help Africa from a village in the Nakuru region of Kenya

Dan grew up in a small village in the west of Ireland. He studied English and Politics in the National University of Ireland, Galway, before receiving his Masters in History.

He currently works as a staff reporter for the Irish World: a national newspaper for the Irish community in the United Kingdom.

It was here that he came across Self Help Africa (SHA), a charity that promotes sustainable agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa.

This summer Dan has moved to a small village in Kenya from where he will be blogging regularly under the title 'A Village in Africa', on behalf of SHA.
