Dan Haesler

Dan Haesler is a Teacher, Writer and Speaker. He also writes for the Sydney Morning Herald

Originally from Manchester, Dan Haesler is a teacher, a writer and a speaker. After earning his stripes in a large inner-city school in the UK, he now resides in Sydney, Australia where he teaches Health and Physical Education.

In 2010 he was awarded the NSW Government Scholarship to address and raise awareness of youth depression. This enabled him to engage with some of the leading thinkers in the world of education and wellbeing, including Sir Ken Robinson, Tal Ben Shahar, Dr Howard Cutler and Richard Gerver. His report to Government will be published in 2012.

Dan now speaks across Australia and works with individual schools, teachers, parents as well as corporate companies.

Dan’s work has been featured in professional journals and the national mainstream media including Channel 10 and the ABC. He also writes for the education pages of Australia’s most respected newspaper, the Sydney Morning Herald.
