Purpose-driven optimist dedicated to sharing my story & keeping men alive by talking.

Fueled by personal experience and a life-long commitment to his cause, Dan is a purpose-driven optimist dedicated to sharing his story and keeping men alive by talking. In 2012, after 6 months of not looking after himself, Dan experienced a full-scale manic episode in Italy which resulted with him preaching from the central lane of a major motorway at rush hour. He believed he was 'the chosen one'. What followed was time spent in psychiatric wards, a diagnoses of Bipolar Disorder and 6 months of crippling depression which had him wanting to take his own life. Thankfully through an incredible amount of love, warmth & patience from his closest family & friends, coupled with life-saving medication & talking therapy, Dan began his long yet progressive journey back to the positive place you find him in today. In 2017 Dan took on a remarkable adventure-challenge to share his story by running 1250 miles from the Colosseum to the London Eye, entirely solo & self-supported. The adventure was called Rome To Home, took 65 days and raised over £17,000 for charity. Alongside his passion for changing the landscape of mental health in the UK, Dan is also a proud husband, minimalist, Community & Partnerships Manager for a leading youth charity, a Salomon Brand Ambassador, Movember Foundation SpokesMo, EtchRock Elite, National Running Show Ambassador and BASI Level 2 Alpine Ski Instructor. All this combined, you'll rarely find Dan doing anything other than channeling as much of his time, energy & focus towards what he believes really matters most - his health, relationships, passions, growth and contributing to others.
