Danae Mercer is a writer and media girl with a passion for the arts. In her pieces for the Huffington Post, she focuses on theatre, art openings, ballet, and exhibits.

Danae is currently working on a book for the Guardian Shorts. She has also written for The Independent, the Guardian, The Telegraph, Marie Claire, USA Today, World Travel Guide, and more. Previously she worked as a full-time features writer at ABODE Magazine in Doha, Qatar.

With kwittken + co, Danae works as a PR across a range of highly technical and financial accounts, managing both national and international campaigns. Here a lot of her writing is ghost, anonymous for obvious reasons.

Danae graduated from Cambridge University on the competitive Davies-Jackson Scholarship (given to one US student each year). She double majored at Creighton University, obtaining a BA in journalism and a BA in political science (focus on international relations) along with a French minor. She graduated Summa Cum Laude. While studying, she worked at US Strategic Command (DoD) in a research and policy position.

Danae manages the Davies-Jackson newsletter and blog. She is also a member of the St. John's College Society, working to create events for the alumni community.
