Dani and Annette Felder

Models and Designers

German-born, London-based designers Daniela and Annette Felder are familiar faces on the British fashion circuit. Their label FELDER FELDER has earned them a British Fashion Award nomination, a cult following among the A-list (Gwyneth Paltrow, Carman Kass, Rihanna, Courtney Love and Florence + The Machine are fans) and the highest calibre of retail stockists in Europe.

The identical twin sisters left Germany in 2002, travelling through Europe, India and America, working as models to fund their adventures. Eventually they settled in London, quickly securing internships with the hugely influential designer Robert Cary-Williams and milliner Stephen Jones. Both men inspired them on to Central Saint Martin’s and the conception of FELDER FELDER.

Right from the outset, FELDER FELDER made its mark on the London fashion scene, reinvigorating early-nineties grunge and successfully repackaging it into the perfect combination of structured shapes and soft layers, but in a harder rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic.

Their debut show for spring/summer 2008 at London Fashion Week was styled by the legendary Patti Wilson and introduced the press to what has now become trademark FELDER FELDER:

Contrasting elements combined to create harmony, an ongoing theme for the twins.

FELDER FELDER won support in the form of New Gen/Topshop sponsorship for three consecutive seasons and it is their 3rd season to show their collections on schedule at London Fashion Week. Their shows have become a highlight of London Fashion Week- not least because of their strong tie to the music industry:

Annette Felder’s husband, Arthur Baker is a renowned record producer and to create a unique soundtrack for the FELDER FELDER shows, he has collaborated with New Order, Mogwai, Florence and the Machine, I Blame Coco, The Duke Spirits and Little Boots.

Next to boutiques world wide, FELDER FELDER is stocked by Browns Focus in London, which is celebrated for stocking only the most talented up-and-coming British designers. In Milan, FELDER FELDER is stocked by Dolce and Gabban’s multi brand store Spiga 2 to great success.

Felder Felder has designed the new uniforms for prestigious restaurant Nobu Berkley Square in 2009 and in summer 2010, Felder Felder has launched its first show flat for established property developer LondoNewcastle, confirming their step into lifestyle as well as fashion.

Felder Felder has been sponsored by and collaborated with Nokia, Triumph, Redbull, IMG, Mac and Bumble and Bumble.

FELDER FELDER is a favourite in the fashion press and has been featured in Italian Vogue, British Vogue, American Vogue, Russian Vogue, German Vogue, The Sunday Times Style, The Daily Telegraph, i-D magazine, Tank, Elle, Elle Collections, British Instyle, German Instyle, British Harper’s Bazaar, Russian Harper’s Bazaar, V magazine and WWD.
