David Roland brings creativity, warmth and humour to his work as a writer, speaker, filmmaker and musician. He is the author of two acclaimed books 'How I Rescued My Brain: a psychologist’s remarkable recovery from stroke and trauma' and 'The Confident Performer'. He is published in 'Best Australian Science Writing 2015'. For over twenty years he worked as a clinical and forensic psychologist and holds a PhD in clinical psychology. He is an Honorary Associate with the School of Medicine, University of Sydney, a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a founder of Compassionate Mind Australia.
