Layla McCay

Director, Centre for Urban Design and Mental Health

Dr Layla McCay is a psychiatrist and global health policy specialist. She has worked in health leadership roles at the World Health Organization, the World Bank, the British Government, Bupa health company, and several international health NGOs. She holds academic posts in international health at Georgetown University (US), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK) and Tokyo Medical and Dental University (Japan) and is currently Director of the Centre for Urban Design and Mental Health, a think tank that considers how we can build better mental health into cities.
