Dr. Manfred Eggersdorfer

Professor for Healthy Aging at the University Medical Center Groningen and a Senior Vice President and Head for Nutritional Science Advocacy at DSM Nutritional Products

Manfred Eggersdorfer, PhD, is professor for Healthy Aging at the University Medical Center Groningen and a Senior Vice President and Head for Nutritional Science Advocacy at DSM Nutritional Products. Prior to joining DSM, Dr. Eggersdorfer worked for BASF, Ludwigshafen in various positions, including Head of Research and Development-Fine Chemicals.

Dr. Eggersdorfer currently serves as a member of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Advisory Board, and has authored numerous publications in the fields of vitamins, innovation in nutritional ingredients, and renewable resources.

Dr. Eggersdorfer led the editorial board for the new book The Road to Good Nutrition. DSM and its nonprofit humanitarian initiative, Sight and Life, launched the book as part of their Vitamins in Motion campaign. The book is available for free at www.vitaminsinmotion.com.

Dr. Eggersdorfer studied chemistry at the Technical University, Munich and was a post-doctoral student at Stanford University.
