Dr Rachel Duffett

Historian whose interests include war, food and popular culture

Dr Rachel Duffett is an historian who teaches at the University of Essex and the Open University. Dr Duffett’s interests include war, food and popular culture and she has worked with the Imperial War Museum, National Army Museum and the BBC. Dr Duffett also works with the Arts and Humanities Research Council funded First World War Centre 'Everyday Lives in War' which is led by the University of Hertfordshire. Currently Dr Duffett is exploring the way in which the First World War was experienced by its children, with a particular interest in their comics, toys, films and books.
