Ed Fletcher

Chief Executive of medical negligence experts Fletchers Solicitors

Ed joined Fletchers Solicitors in September 1996 as a personal injury solicitor. He became Partner in 2005 and Director in 2007.

In 2012 Ed was appointed CEO of Fletchers Solicitors, continuing the firm’s work in serious injury and medical negligence litigation. He has a national reputation in claimant spinal injury work.

A paraplegic wheelchair user, Ed severed his spinal cord in a motorbike accident in 1999. He has since dedicated his professional life to helping people with spinal injury.

Ed’s personal mantra puts the needs of the injured party at the heart of everything he does. His own experience of spinal injury and life in a wheelchair informs his daily work, inextricably linked with his enthusiasm and impressive positivity.

Ed has secured tens of millions of pounds for his spinal cord injured clients to assist in rebuilding their lives. Fletchers Solicitors are endorsed by both the Spinal Injuries Association and Headway, the national brain injury charity.
A senior litigator member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), Ed also chairs the
North West Spinal Injuries Centre Patient Group. He is a mentor for young people with recently sustained spinal cord injury.

Evidence of that tireless joie de vivre, Ed is a keen hand-cyclist, sit-skiier and swimmer. He is Treasurer of the West Coast Crash wheelchair rugby team, and in 2007/8 was a member of the Great Britain Para-Triathlon Squad.

Ed is a motorbike enthusiast and belongs to the National Association of Bikers with a Disability (NABD). He was shortlisted for Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year at the PI Awards in 2012.
