Ending Politics As Usual Means Making The Labour Party More Inclusive

I believe as many people as possible should be part of the work we're doing to transform the country for the better. I want to work to unite and diversify our party, making it more open and in touch with the country, so that we can focus our energies outwards, campaigning against poverty and for our values of equality, fairness, social justice, compassion and for hope.

In Yemen, The Cholera Epidemic Is Only Just Scratching The Surface

Years of under-investment in deteriorating public water and sanitation systems, contaminated water sources, ongoing waves of displacement resulting from conflict, alongside families being unable to afford basic sanitation and hygiene items, have contributed to this recent cholera outbreak. Let's be under no illusion - this is crisis man-made... UK aid has played a big part in this response. Over the last year, the UK government has doubled its humanitarian funding to Yemen, committing £85 million. 'Stand Up for Europe' - Why I'm Touring 31 Cities in 31 Days Campaigning for Britain to Remain

We must not turn our backs on a European Union that has helped us keep the peace since the dark days of the Second World War and which, working together, has a better chance of staving off the threat from terrorism. Only by working together in Europe can we avoid something terrible happening this century. Which is why I've called my campaign 'Stand Up For Europe'. And that's what I'll be doing for 31 days in 31 cities, starting 23 May in Birmingham. Because I believe that no vote in our lifetime has ever been this important.

Marathon Man

So the plan on paper is a simple one. Complete a marathon every day for 27 days across South Africa. Unfortunately when you step off the paper and onto the concrete, gravel and rocky roads there's a little more to it. Those with a good memory amongst you may recall that I tried something similar about four years ago and was forced to stop by a Doctor who told me that I'd die if I didn't. Now I'm back and trying it again.

Volunteers: The Unsung Heroes of Grassroots Sport

Volunteers are the backbone of sport in the UK, without them sport just wouldn't be possible.... Volunteering helps boost communities, people who volunteer in sport feel closer to their communities, they feel they can trust their communities and that they have an impact on what that community is like. I've seen it first hand, people from different backgrounds, ages and areas coming together for a cause they feel strongly about.

My Week With Ken

Londoners need a Mayor who will be there when things are tough and when they get even tougher, speaking up for Londoners, putting them first. Ken is in this for Londoners. London needs him.
