Edward Bazalgette

British television director

Ed Bazalgette is an award winning British television director. His directing credits include; BBC's hit drama 'Poldark' with William McGregor, starring Aidan Turner, Brenda Blethyn in 'Vera' (ITV), Stephen Tompkinson in 'DCI Banks' (ITV), and Hermione Norris and Martin Clunes in 'A Mother’s Son' (ITV).

He won a Royal Television Society Award for his film on Brunel for the series 'Great Britons,' and was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award for BBC2 series 'Venice' and 'Seven Wonders of the Natural World' – the latter charting Sir Joseph Bazalgette(his ancestor) and the design and engineering of the London sewer system.

Before his career in television, Ed had a hit record when he played guitar for the band The Vapors with 'Turning Japanese' in 1980.
