Edward Milward-Oliver has spent most of his professional life in the fields of media and communications, and has served on the boards of a number of public companies. His online cultural network uniting friends of arts organisations across the UK is currently in stealth mode.

He is a published authority on the work of the British writer Len Deighton whom he has known for nearly 30 years, and is at work on the first major biography of the celebrated author of The Ipcress File. He was the principal programme advisor on Lion TV’s documentary The Truth About Len Deighton first broadcast on BBC Four, programme advisor to Channel 4’s Fifty Films To See Before You Die, advised the BBC on their TV series British Film Forever, was a leading contributor to the BBC Radio 4 documentary The Deighton File, and participated in BBC South East Today's 2014 celebration of the film Oh! What a Lovely War.
