Elizabeth Kucinich is a champion for health, human rights, animals and the environment, and the Director of Policy at the Center for Food Safety (CFS).



Through legal challenges, CFS has successfully prevented at least 7 potentially hazardous GMO crops, including biopharmaceutical crops, from being commercialized and has filed numerous groundbreaking legal petitions to halt the use of dangerous feed additives in industrial livestock operations.



Elizabeth serves as a board director of several notable organizations including, Sean Penn’s Haitian relief organization, J/P HRO, and the Rodale Institute, America's oldest organic research institute.



Prior to her present role, Elizabeth organized the American Monetary Institute's first international conference on monetary reform and was instrumental in bringing about the introduction of landmark monetary reform legislation.



For three years she was the government affairs director at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, working on preventative healthcare, child nutrition, medical research and training policy, and helped to found the Congressional Staff Vegetarian Association, dubbed 'The Veggie Caucus.'



Elizabeth has produced two award-winning documentaries, GMO OMO, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2013 and Hot Water exposing radioactive contamination of US water sources. Both docs are scheduled for release in 2014.



Elizabeth is married to former eight-term US Congressman and two-time US presidential candidate, Dennis Kucinich.
