Professor of Criminology at Durham University since 2013. Co-founder and Director of The Loop, a not-for-profit NGO that provides drug and alcohol advice, information, forensic testing and welfare services at nightclubs and festivals. The Loop introduced Multi Agency Safety Testing (MAST) to the UK in the summer of 2016 - the first 'front of house' drug testing - to help reduce drug related harm on site at music events.
