Disabled Modela and Assistant Director for models with disabilities at Models of Diversity

I am assistant director for disability section of the charitable organisation Models of Diversity. My role involves campaigning to see equality for disability in fashion. We want to see models with disabilities and disability in general regularly represented within fashion. I am myself a disabled model after contracting an illness called Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) four years ago which has left me reliant on a wheelchair for the majority of the time. This has led me to be faced head on with the discrimination that fashion currently presents to models like myself. I and the rest of our disability team within Models of Diversity want to show the fashion industry, that it isn't our disability that holds us back, it is in fact the fashion industry that does, and this is what we want to change
