Dr Gregor Irwin is the Chief Economist of Global Counsel, which advises corporations around the world on public policy, political risk and regulatory issues. He has previously held senior positions at the Bank of England, the British Treasury and most recently at the British Foreign Office as the Chief Economist. Earlier in his career Gregor worked as an academic at Oxford University, where he also completed his doctorate in economics, and for the strategy consultants Marakon Associates.
