Xander's Mum

Hi, my name is HeatherJane although most people call me Hj and I am in my 40's and married to a long suffering lovely bloke named Dave. Our first born son Xander was stillborn in 2004 and then we experienced 2 miscarriages who we named Sausage and Muffin. We have no living children, but we have just adopted our fur baby Jax who is a border collie cross. I work and volunteer for Sands (the stillbirth and neonatal death charity) but all my opinions (of which I have a few) are my own. I have just written a book about living with the loss of Xander over the past 13yrs titled "Are You Better Yet" and aiming to release it in June of this year which will coincide with the 40th anniversary of Sands. I love reading, cinema, theatre, travelling and spending lots of time with my family (which always involves me with my camera and love selfies with the family, which even my puppy is starting to find a little annoying). One thing I want in life is for parents who join a club they never dreamed of joining to never feel alone and realise that although it's difficult, you do survive.
