Helen Chandler

Writer, reader, cook and mum

Helen Chandler was born and grew up in Liverpool. She read English Language and Literature at Merton College, Oxford, before joining the NHS Management Training Scheme and working in various healthcare organisations.
After years of not writing anything more creative than a board report or a business plan, Helen was a stay-at-home mum to her young daughter when she (literally) dreamt up a plot for a novel.

Two for Joy was written in the Thursday afternoons which were her one child-free slot of the week, and was published by Hodder and Stoughton in June 2013. She is currently working on her second novel, and blogging at http://www.helenchandler.co.uk.

Helen is married with one daughter, and lives in Walthamstow, East London. She loves exploring London (and anywhere else she gets the chance to), and everything to do with food – cooking it, eating it, reading about it or just thinking about it.
