Finding Hope In The Dark

Over-saturation with news is detrimental to our emotional health. If you read the newspaper or check Twitter in the morning, let that be enough. You don't need to turn on the TV or radio too, especially before bed. Anything you missed will be there tomorrow. Be very careful with how much news you let your children absorb also.

Lessons From Thai Women - Feminine AND Strong

My journey began with a flight from London to Doha, Doha to Bangkok and finally Bangkok to Chiang Mai. The pilot (or captain) of this third flight was a woman; I was equally surprised and delighted when I heard her dulcet tones welcome us over the speaker system. <em>Women in Thailand were not limited to being cabin crew, they could fly planes too</em>!

Want to Make a Difference? Just Do It.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a woman of my word. I set out thinking about how I could help girls. My first foray was to provide workshops for teen Mums, but I didn't feel that was enough and I wasn't sure I was the right person to make a difference with that audience.
