Head Master of Bedford School

John Moule (b.1971) has been Head Master of Bedford School since 2008, having previously been Vice Master (Senior Deputy Head). Educated at a comprehensive school in Telford, he went to Oxford University to read History and was Mary Stillman Harkness Scholar at Lady Margaret Hall for two years. Graduating with first class honours, he started his teaching career at Dean Close School in Cheltenham, where he taught History and Politics. He was appointed head of History at Stowe in 1998, becoming a Housemaster in 2000 and Senior Housemaster in 2004, before moving to Bedford in 2006. His interests include cricket, political biography, directing plays, and theatre in general.
