Scottish Labour Should Ditch the Hardline Unionism - It Won't Win Them Voters Back

If Scottish Labour adopt a neutral stance on the upcoming independence referendum and continue to advocate genuine socialist policies, I'm willing to forgive previous misdeeds consider voting them again and I know I'm not alone. If they believe such a position is a betrayal of their values then so be it, but it may end up being the hill they die on.

Nigel Farage Should Be A Pariah For Supporting Trump

Trump's behaviour towards women should alone enough to never support anything he ever does. But there are also the small matters of him calling Mexicans rapists, inciting violence against protesters, supporting Nazi-style checks on Muslims and making various other proclamations usually reserved for depraved war criminals. Nigel Farage supports this man - and he doesn't just think he's the lesser of evils, he's travelled to America to appear on stage with him and endorsed him again this week on radio. Whatever you think of Ukip, they're still one of the UK's biggest mainstream parties with millions of voters. That the party's foremost figure is in league with an evil extremist barely seems to been acknowledged.

If Corbyn is Hard Left Then A Lot of People Are Hard Left

Most Corbyn supporters are driven by a desire to help the less fortunate. Nobody's suggesting that the left automatically hold the moral high ground, but it increasingly feels like holding a world view based on compassion is seen as 'hard' and 'extremist' in 21st century Britain. Whatever your politics, that should be recognised as a sad thing.

The Left Need to Get Behind Corbyn... and Be Prepared If He Loses

I'd urge anybody on the left that thinks the post-Brexit coup was a good idea to get real... David Cameron is leaving a country that is among the most unequal in Europe and where food bank use is at a record high. It's Labour's job to point out these failures - that's literally what the party is supposed to be for.

Don't Vote Leave Out of Fear of Immigration - It's a Con.

The Remain camp have avoided the immigration argument like the plague because they're scared to attack the government, so the debate consequently hasn't been framed in the right way. My message to working class voters worried about immigration is this: know your enemy. These people don't want what's best for you. They never have and they never will.
