Culture Squad 2012 Apprentice Producer

Juliet Cooke was part of the ‘Culture Squad’ - a 12-month long accredited cultural apprenticeship, funded by the Mayor of London and accredited by Lewisham College, for five young people, aged 21-23, to help produce the Mayor of London Presents festival, London’s largest ever outdoor arts and cultural programme which toured each of the Capital’s 33 boroughs during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The ‘Culture Squad’ were based in some of London’s leading cultural organisations including, The Albany, The Barbican, The English National Ballet, The Roundhouse & Watermans. The programme was the first of its kind, providing a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience within the cultural sector.
