Olivier Award-winning television and stage actress
Juliet Stevenson has gained fame equally through her television and film roles and her work on the stage. In 1992, she was honoured with a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress for her performance in Ariel Dorfman’s Death and the Maiden. Her films include Truly Madly Deeply, Emma, Bend It Like Beckham, Breaking and Entering and Mona Lisa Smile. In 1999, she was awarded the CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to drama. Born in Essex, England, Stevenson is a graduate of the RADA and an associate artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She can currently be seen in the BBC's Atlantis.
