Actress, starring in E4's The Work Experience
Kate Miles cut her teeth on heavyweight dramas. She played a BNP candidate in BBC1's England Expects the day after leaving The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art; followed by the BAFTA winning The Government Inspector and Golden Globe Best Drama, Longford, alongside Jim Broadbent and Samantha Morton. Now Kate is having a comedy purple patch. Kate stars in E4's new series The Work Experience - part sitcom, part docu-drama. She has also been cast in HBO/BBC improvised comedy Family Tree, made by 'Christopher Guest', director of Spinal Tap and starring Chris O'Dowd. As a TV Producer, Kate worked on The Word and Gaytime TV and has been Editor, Producer and Los Angeles Correspondent for The Big Breakfast, spending 3 years in LA interviewing Hollywood A-listers. Raised in Lincolnshire and Devon, Kate is mother of two children. She has an acting degree from RADA, and a BA in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University
