Head of Policy and Public Affairs at blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan

Katie Begg is Head of Policy and Public Affairs at blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan. She is responsible for developing and delivering a clear public policy agenda, driven by the charity’s core ambitions of securing a donor for every person who needs one, and improving the lives of blood cancer patients. Since joining the charity in 2012, Katie has driven Anthony Nolan’s campaigning activity. She launched the organisation’s very first public policy-led campaign, A Roadmap for Recovery, in 2013, with the objective of securing improvements in the care available to patients experiencing the late and long term effects of a bone marrow transplant. In her role, Katie also leads on the organisation’s government and parliamentary relations activities, as well as stakeholder engagement across a range of sectors.

Before joining Anthony Nolan, Katie held a number of positions within the public affairs and communications arena, including as Associate Director of a boutique political communications agency, and as European Public Affairs Manager at a FTSE 250 corporation.
