Director of Service Development and Improvement, Together for Short Lives

Katrina McNamara is Director of Practice and Service Development, with Together for Short Lives, the UK Children’s Palliative Care organisation, focusing on providing support to professionals and organisations in developing best practice and services provision and providing information and support services to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.

In 2009, the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Award for Outstanding Contribution was presented to Katrina for her vision in developing the UK’s first Integrated Care Pathway for children’s palliative care. She is a member of the International Children’s Palliative Care Network Advocacy Committee, focusing on the development of children’s palliative care services across the world.
