I'm not saying MPs are working every hour there is, but I think it's useful for people to get a flavour of what things are like in the House of Commons, and what we're really up to, especially when it's so unusual to see a packed chamber.

In the cold light of day, it's relatively difficult to see the possible positive outcomes of Brexit. The UK Government has thus far only been clear that 'Brexit means Brexit'. Nothing else is certain.

Nobody expected this to happen. For all their "I'm one of the lads" bluster, neither Nigel Farage nor Boris Johnson had any idea quite what fertile ground they were sowing. They have no idea what it's like to live from pay cheque to pay cheque, to constantly be servicing debt, to be working in a low wage job with eventual retirement the only light at the end of the tunnel.

The message couldn't be any clearer: Rather than depleting the number of Scottish MPs any further, David Cameron should instead actually listen to the voters of Scotland for once. We need to abolish the ridiculous House of Lords and give these unelected, unaccountable and costly peers their P45s.
