Kirsty Openshaw

Rugby player and coach

Kirsty Openshaw discovered a love for playing rugby at the age of 30. Now she inspires girls to take up the sport too; combining coaching the Wimbledon girls' team and playing for the club herself with her full-time role as women and girls rugby coach at Harlequins Rugby Club. She spends time away from rugby at home in Epsom, Surrey with her partner Bex, a PE teacher who played for Harlequins and Wales and their dachshund, George
