Stockholm-based journalist Lisa Bjurwald (b. 1978) has just published a critically acclaimed reportage book on the rise of Europe's far right.

Bjurwald, previously Op-Ed Writer at leading Swedish dailies, has also published an investigative book on women in the extreme right.

In 2010, she was the Swedish winner of the European Parliament Prize for Journalism (press category) and in 2009, a Milena Jesenská Journalism Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna.

During 2006-2011, she was a member of the editorial board at the anti-racist Expo magazine, founded by the late Stieg Larsson.

She is currently serving as an expert on the Swedish government-appointed commission on how to combat xenophobia.
