Professor Marion Gibson researches and teaches the literature of witchcraft and magic at the University of Exeter, UK. Her work spans a long time period - basically, from Macbeth to Harry Potter and beyond. She is also interested in the ways ancient paganism is represented in literary texts. She is the author of Reading Witchcraft (1999), Early Modern Witches (2000), Possession, Puritanism and Print (2006), Witchcraft Myths in American Culture (2007), Imagining the Pagan Past (2013) and the forthcoming Rediscovering Renaissance Witchcraft, and Witchcraft: The Basics (both 2017).
