Mark Diffley

Research Director for Ipsos MORI Scotland

Mark Diffley is a Research Director with Ipsos MORI, working in both our London and Edinburgh offices. He led all our research, analysis and media commentary during the 2014 Scottish independence referendum and, before that, the 2011 Holyrood election. Mark regularly commentates on public attitudes to political and social issues across the UK.

Aside from high-profile political research and commentary, Mark leads much of the public and social policy research in Scotland. In doing so he works with all the major public and third sector organisations in Scotland in considering the challenges faced by them. He regularly speaks at seminars and conferences about this research and the wider public sector.
