Nurse at Iyolwa Health Centre in eastern Uganda
Currently enrolled as a nurse at Iyolwa Health Centre in eastern Uganda, Martha Amoo has known she wanted to work at a clinic since age 12, when a nurse giving Tetanus injections visited her school. In her work she encourages young girls in the community to stay in school even when they become pregnant. She is particularly proud of inspiring two patients to study medicine. Martha looks forward to returning to school to become a Clinical Nurse after her twins are born in March.
