I am forty seven years old, good at languages bad at maths and being told what to do. I say yes even when the task seems impossible, mainly because I have a huge amount of faith (sometimes misguided) in my ability to make stuff happen. My work is a mixture of running an ethical coffee company, teaching online business English and Spanish to 12 year olds at a school in Hampshire. I live with my Italian boyfriend and we were planning a wedding this September but then cancer came along 12 months ago forcing us to put our plans on hold. I now have an elfin short hairstyle, proper eyelashes, a healthy respect for those working in the NHS and a considerably different perspective on what my priorities are for the future. I also worry less.
