Nigel is a founding director and head of strategy and consulting at Salterbaxter, one of Europe’s leading consultancies in the field of sustainability and communications.

Nigel has worked in this field for over 12 years, advising companies on a wide range of sustainability issues from strategy development through to reporting.

Clients have included major multi-nationals across a wide range of sectors: Anglo American, Barclays, Carlsberg Group, Coca-Cola, De Beers, Fortum, H&M, Land Securities, LEGO, Morrisons, Nokia, O2, Tigo, Tullow Oil, Unilever, Vodafone. This work has been delivered in many different countries and has involved helping the leaders within these multinationals raise the ambition levels on sustainability in their organisations and helping them to see the strategic advantages and opportunities that sustainability presents.

Nigel writes and speaks widely on all aspects of sustainability and is the editor of the Directions series of research reports which have been influencing the sustainability agenda across Europe for the last ten years.

Salterbaxter as a business have won numerous awards for their work in the field of sustainability communications including awards for innovation, digital communications, the use of social media for stakeholder engagement, sustainability reporting and campaign development.
